Welcome to Summer!
At the end of the Spring 2015 semester, multiple members of the Pan Lab (aka MatMed Lab) presented at the prestigious Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology (CNST) poster symposium. Two of our post doctoral scholars, Santosh Misra and Manas Gartia, were presenting their work along side graduate students Huei-Huei, Aaron, Youkabed, and Enrique. In last day of the CNST conference Dr. Santosh Misra and Enrique Daza both won second place prizes for their respective poster groups. This shows our research group’s outstanding capabilities as we continue to grow on the Illinois campus. See more pictures here.
And to celebrate the end of the academic year, our Professor Dipanjan Pan held a gathering at his house filled with plenty of delicious food and games. At this gathering we said good bye to some of our valuable undergraduate students who will be moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Those students are Joseph Kus, Niko Kolmodin, and Molly Imgruet. We wish them the best in their endeavors.
Also, the artists of the lab have configured a fabulous map of where we hide our top secret samples. Enjoy this little uplifting token to science.
