Indu received a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Sciences (DVM) from the Karnataka University followed by a Master’s degree in Pharmacology & Toxicology. After completing her Masters she decided to broaden her knowledge and expertise by working in a KPO. At Evalueserve new Delhi, India. She was responsible for conducting Toxicological tests and performing epigenetics studies.
Her desire to further challenge herself coupled with her strong interest in science lead her to do a PhD (2013) in Prof. Jayakumar’s lab, Bangalore Veterinary college. Her PhD was on to study the residual effects of growth promoters and anti-microbial agents in Poultry chicken.
She had joined Prof.Pan’s lab as a visiting scholar in 2015 where she is involved in a project that deals with usage of carbon based engineered nanomaterials to remediate large bodies of water from oil spills .Her area of interest is towards understanding the pharmacology of targeted drug therapy of breast cancer
In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, and spending time with her family.
