Callie Miller is a senior at Central High School and hopes to continue her education in biochemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign or Washington University in St. Louis and pursue a career in medicine. Callie has volunteered with Carle Foundation Hospital and shadowed in the lab of Dr. Rich Halberg at University of Wisconsin conducting colorectal cancer research. Currently, Callie is a part of the ResearcHStart program designing novel drug delivery vehicles in Professor Dipanjan Pan’s Lab at the Carle Biomedical Research center. In the coming year, Callie will be performing some research duties with Dr. Robert Thompson in the Center for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, at Washington University. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and playing jazz guitar!
